Fabulous

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #155 challenge was Confetti.  It would be easier if you had a punch, but we had to be creative and only use dies from Papertrey Ink.  I couldn't think of a lot things I could use for this, other than the Super Star Border die.  But  I found my Movers & Shapers: Spinners die with two big circles and two small circles.  I also had the smallest heart from the Heart Prints die collection to use.

I loved cutting the star border and getting the teeny tiny stars.  At first I was just thinking about pasting them on the card somehow. But then I thought it would be neat if I attached them to string and hung them like decorations.  So I decided to diecut a window and layer another piece of cardstock with the strings attached in between.

I think this looks really pretty and am contemplating incorporating it into my own home decor!  :)

In the window, I tried to mimic the bokeh effect with circles and hearts.

I used one of the Photo Finish Strips die for my sentiment (which comes from the Fabulous Frames set).  On both sides, I attached pieces of my confetti.

Although this card took a bit of prep time, it is such a nice card to give to someone.  I really enjoyed this technique and will have to purchase some more handy dies to try this confetti theme again.

Thanks for challenging me!
