Happy Birthday with Cupcakes

I just love using my Anya Treats stamp from The Greeting Farm.  Isn't it fun?  And it can be used for different occasions.  I actually pulled her out a couple weeks ago for the Sweet Treats challenge, but let the deadline pass.  So I let her sit on my desk until I had a chance to use her again.  And I was lucky this week!  :)  Because the Farm Fresh Friday's theme this week was Birthday Bash.  Yay!  I would love a whole box of cupcakes for my birthday, wouldn't you?

I paper-pieced her using MME Darling Dear and Simple Stories Vintage Bliss, in addition to coloring her with Copic markers.  I added glossy accents to the hearts on her cupcakes and hats.  All the paper other than Anya comes from the MME Honey collection (big recommend!)  I used birthday stamp from the Unity April 2011 KOTM and added stickles to the word ''HAPPY''.  I used the Vertical Greetings die from MFT and wrapped it with grey Doodletwine.  I used a border punch on a scrap piece of paper for some layering beneath.  Oh, and I found the yellow paper that I used for my card base in my stock.  It's pearl and shimmery - it's gorgeous in person.  Thanks for the fun challenge!  I had a ton of fun creating!

A Few Cards

Hello, my loves.

This Sunday was spent in my craftspace just having fun and creating.  I stamped images out the weekend before, but never got around to using them.  So when I had time this weekend, I knew I was going to make some cards.

The first card was actually for a Mojo Monday challenge (331).

Unfortunately, I was unable to upload in time to join, but I still completed it on time.  That's okay, I super love the card I made!

I had a dogtag in my die cut bin and thought to use it in the sentiment along with the wood veneer.

I added a few different embellishments in a cluster and I love how it looks.  I had to add that sparkle cupcake button too.

 Her cupcake cake sparkle too!

She got a rhinestone heart for her hairpiece.

I am a big fan of The Cat's Pajamas and although I only have a couple of them, I love seeing this bunny and his giant ears.

The striped die-cut was a freebie included with an internet order way back when I first started scrapping…but I kept it and finally found the perfect use for it.

I thought it would be cute to have hearts coming out with the smoke clouds.  :)

I also added sparkle to his nose!

I liked using this saying on the inside.

This is the first time maying a Twilight-inspired card.  It was so much fun to colour.

I knew Edward's face should have sparkle.

I actually cut Bella's hair and moved the bang portion lower down on her forehead creating a gap where I added light purple beneath to match the paper and glitter on top to match Edward.

I was thinking about which sentiment I should use with one of the greatest love couple ever…I thought this went perfectly.

Thanks for checking my cards out!  What will you make this week?

Layout Share: Girlfriends Rock and Scrappinnwrappin 2000 Subscriber Giveaway Challenge

Yay for besties.  They are there for you whenever you need them and they support in ways no one else can.  Whether it's finding something special or lending an open ear, they can never ever be replaced.

This past Christmas, my YouTube bestie sent me a super sweet box full of special goodies.  The box itself was decorated with fun snowflake washi tape and cute die-cute snowflakes.  When it came time for cleanup, I couldn't just throw everything out, so I kept the pieces I loved and used them in a layout that would remind me how special it was.  Here's that layout:

A close-up of the snowflake.  You can see the UPS mark in the background.  I just kept the tape from the box and added it to the kraft paper to recreate the look.

I used a stitched fabric brad from Basic Grey's Out of Print collection.  I also used some leftover tissue paper to layer under the photo.

The next layout was the one that I made for Cheri's 2000 giveaway challenge  (YouTube scrappinnwrappin).  Check on the video link below to see the giveaway guidelines.
This picture was actually from my boyfriend's birthday.  But the colours in the photo work well with valentine colours.  Looking back in time, I found out this picture was taken in 2006.  My roller date stamps don't even have a 2006 year on them.  So I just stamped his birthday and left off the year.

Using my copic multiliner, I drew lines around the entire layout and added an ''xoxo 2006'' to the corner.  The paint splatter was created using a water pen and a watercolour palette.
I really wanted to use my PTI heart border for this layout and I wanted it to stand it.  Then the idea came to me to  used a gradation of valentine colours.

Two types of thickers were combined for the title.  I wanted to added a bit of sparkle along with the shiny alphas to make it pop.  My boyfriend never buys me cake for my birthday, lol.  I also wrote my journalling right under the title using my multi-liner again.
