Clean & Simple Coffee Sleeve Mini Album

Mini albums are so much fun to make.  But coffee sleeves are even more fun to use if you want to make a cute little gift for someone special.  Today I used Pink Paislee's Hello Sunshine ephemera and sticker sets that I purchased from Butterfly Reflections Ink (she still has them in stock)…the same collection given away from Vanessa of BRI as the prize goodies for Sugar and Spice Challenge (#3)!
It's super cute and fun to play with!  I love that there are both paper and acetate pieces in the ephemera diecut pack.  And there are a ton of choices, including sentiments, in the sticker pack.

Here is my cover and a couple pics from the inside:

Here is an overview of the album on myscrappylife:

And this is the process video on makescrappygoodness:

(Coming Soon!)

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Be inspired and please drop me a line if you create a coffee sleeve album too!

Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge #4

Yay, it's that time again for the Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge!!  Challenge #4 is themed ''April Showers Brings May Flowers''.  Please interpret that how you like.  You can check out some inspiration and the guidelines on the challenge post here.

Guess what??  Our challenge is sponsored this time around!!  And by none other than Butterfly Reflections Ink!

Vanessa has offered to send something that will totally go with this theme and something I want myself.  It's the new Hello Spring by Pink Paislee.  The winner of this challenge will receive a 6x6 paper pad, stamp set, and puffy stickers from the collection.  I hope this in motivation to get creative!

Here is my card for the challenge.  I am in love with it.  The papers come from Glitz Hello Friend and MME Honey Cake 6x6 paper pads.  Aren't the clouds in the background cool?  I used my MFT ALM The Rainbow Will Come Stamp along with Lawn Fawn Say Cheese for a great combination.  The sentiment comes from MFT The Great Outdoors, which has a lot of sentiments for rain, clouds, rainbows, and sunshine.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for all my stamping, except the polaroid which is stamped in Memento Summer Sky.

I used my MFT Mini Monarch Border Die-namics and layered four die cuts to get this gorgeous texture here.  My banner comes from MFT First Place Ribbon Die-namics.  I added a pink button and twine from Queen & Co.

I stamped my image on Neenah Solar White cardstock and coloured her face, hair, hands, pants, and umbrella pole using my copic markers.  I stamped the jacket and umbrella on paper from the Honey Cake pad.  I used my colics to shade.  Lastly I added some tiny pearls to her jacket buttons.

Be sure to swing visit the site to check out all the other projects from our design members, as well as see the entries!  Thanks for dropping by!

Yay! Pancake Day :)

We love pancakes here!!  I love making them and putting stuff on them and, of course, eating them!  So I just had the idea to make a stack of pancakes and add a smiling sun...because that is the best time to have a Pancake Day!  Butterfly Reflections Ink is having their first Weekend Card Sketch.  It looks like this:

You might not have time to join since I am late it joining, but I hope you will join next time!

Anyhoo, I just made the stack by stamping a bunch, trimming, and pasting.  It works!  I didn't really have a sentiment to go with my idea...but I made it work.  Yay! from Quick Qwips is perfect.  I often say this and it sounds like me.  On the inside (my card is so tiny there was no more room on the front), I stamped Pancake Day out using the Alphadots set.  I'm glad Paper Smooches has such cool alpha sets that you can mix and match and flip.  Make sure you check them out at Vanessa's store - Butterfly Reflections Ink.  As well as this Wake Up set and Spectrum that I used (both Paper Smooches).  Have a good end of week and here's to yummy breakfast food on the weekend!!

Sugar & Spice - And all Things Crafty 1st Challenge!!!

I wanted to create a challenge that my friends and all could work on together at the same time.  It's fun to work on a similar project and be able to share our work.  So I am starting a crafty challenge that anyone can join and upload their photos too.  Head on over to the new site Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge for more details on how to enter.

The first theme is Rainbows!

I created two cards for the challenge.  The first one is more in your face with its neon rainbow glitter.  It's my favourite!  My YT friend, TheCoffeeMommy, sent me this a while back and it holds a special place in my glitter container.  Using some sticky stars from The Sticky Stuff Store, I randomly placed them and glitter by colour I sprinkled a rainbow patterned.  Believe me, this is very satisfying!  I used my heat gun to set this a bit and I think it helps with the fall-out.  A simple banner and the word ''Smile''  popped on some Grapesicle cardstock completes it.  I decided to included the sentiment 'A Rainbow is a Promise' on the inside as well.  :)

Here's me having fun!

The inside of the card:

On my second card I used some enamel dots for a subtle rainbow look.  I had to use my newest stamp that I got from Butterfly Reflections Ink because unicorns are awesome!  By masking, it looks like the unicorn is moving.  I just stamped off the page before stamping again.  I added a gem to his bottom :o) and some Aqualips to his hooves and horn.

You can enter a direct link with the InLinkz tool to participate in the challenge and win some goodies!  Click here to be taken to the Sugar and Spice Crafty Challenge and see more from the other ladies!

Loved this challenge and I hope you will play along!

Have a Nice Day

I got a few stamps in from Butterfly Relections Ink the other day.  I was surprised how fast the shipping was!  Vanessa has great service.  She even included a little note for me and I am so grateful.  That is the best thing about ordering from smaller home-based stores.  They really do care about their customers and like to show it. :)

From my Instagram - myjapanlife

I made a few cards already with the stamps.  I will share a couple more in a soon to come post.  But for now, I would like to wish you a nice day.  :)  Everyday you can eat toast, but bacon and eggs is a special day!  Don't you think?
