Hi, everyone! Sherri here to share my card for Carol's CAS (Clean and Simple) card challenge. She said that it should be able to fit into a regular envelope and be able to go through the machine…but I am not sure whether this qualifies for the simple and clean part… Does it count if you do stamping, watercolouring and Magical Micas?? It wasn't that hard. I guess it was simple then. Okay, maybe yes!! (Feel free to comment below.)
Here it is…
In honour of my American friends, here is a card just for you (cuz I couldn't care less…Canada Day is July 1st).
No haters. I really do love my American friends!!
Carol is a rockin crafter who uploads daily and also vlogs her life. Be sure to sub to her channel!

Officially Not True
Today I did a 12x12 layout for Dannielle Brown's challenge. I actually did a process vid on this too, so be sure to check out the video below. The link to Dani's challenge video can be found in my Youtube description box.
Here is the full LO. I love that Dani pushed me to use a different colour combo. It was so fun to use mint, yellow, and pink together.

Thanks for the fun challenge!
Sherri

My title is simple. It relates to my "It's official..." post on facebook...and states the obvious - not true. I thought it would be fun to include the hashtags #jk and #viral - which is exactly what it was when it hit the internet.
All in all, the important part was live, laugh, and love...it was a joke and it was so funny. I hope my mother will laugh about it one day too. I liked adding this metal tag with the rub-on as a big accent piece. I love the ombre hearts stapled next to it in a row too.
This cute little bird goes nicely with 'a little birdie told me' rub-on. The modelling paste along with glitter adds so much to my page. The texture doesn't compare to embssing and I love the uneveness of it. Using my Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst Sprays I created the perfect colour. Amongst the stars, you find scattered sequins, a button, some brads, and some glossy accent dots with glitter captured underneath. I think this will be my new thing. Remember it!
Here is the focus of my page up close. Check out that honkin ring! Totally not believable, right? I mimicked the stone by added a rhinestone to my center 'i' in ''Officially''. I also added more bling to the rest of the title below.
Thanks for the fun challenge!

Welcome Spring
Early morning cardmaking and post coming your way! (Well, it's here actually...lol.) So, I woke up this morning and noticed that there was a PaperTrey Ink Blog Hop for February going on. I guess you only have the day to join and since I didn't see it till this morning (we're ahead in Japan here), I knew I would have to skip it or get crackin!
The theme was sweet spring. I love spring and all the things that come with it. What a good chance to bust out my Scrambled Eggs and Sweet Spring stamp sets. I cut out the Holiday Die and used some pretty Artnic Mint and Memento Lulu Lavendar to colour it. I coloured in the flowers, nose and ears with my Lindy's Magical Micas in the colours below. Thanks for the inspiration to stamp this morning. It was easy because I had fun stuff to work with!
Have a lovely day!
(Fingers crossed spring is headed our way...)

Shabby Chic Card
I was inspired today to do something shabby chic. Truthfully, I'm not that great at doing this style. I adore it and always am in awe of my fellow crafters who make such wonderful pieces. If one wants to improve, one must practice. And practice I shall! So I decided to make a card that I will enter for the Mojo Monday 332 challenge and the Lindy's Stamp Gang Color Challenge (scroll down for pictures below).
I've done a lot of ink and staining using various techniques (fancy ones like rubbing and dripping, lol…). I actually decided to do the Lindy's challenge when I chose my lady card because of the colors in it. I am a big fan of purple, and although I could have went with pink, I decided to substitute for a more purply colour.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Stain in Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, and Tumbled Glass on the tag and lady card. I created some rough edges on the lady card by using my Tim Holtz distressing tool. In hindsight, I probably could have done more rough edges on the tag too. But I will learn. From Lindy's, I used Starburst Stains in Creme Brûlée, Baby Blue Eyes Blue Gold, and Magnolia Magenta Gold on the card base, tag, and seam binding (which was originally baby pink). I also used Creme Brûlée Magical Mica Powder on the doily and tag. I love the shimmer!
My twine was too thick for my button, so I separated it into two pieces and used one on the button and one of the tag.
I decided to add some rhinestones to the headlights…just for fun! And I added a sentiment, 'Just Fabulous', because I didn't really want to make it for anything in particular. I made this with a scrappy friend in mine. :) Oh, if you are wondering about stamping on vellum, just use Brilliance and let it sit a few minutes.
Here is the sketch. Details available by clicking here.
And the colour challenge can be found here.
Thanks for the fun challenges!
Have a scrappy Sunday!
